US Postal Service bailout ?

In the wake of the USPS saying last week they will need a bailout to survive I thought I would share a recent experience.
I was at my local post office dropping off a handful of mail at the outside drive-thru box. There was an employee with his head inside the back of the box collecting mail so instead of dropping it through the slot and onto him I reached out further in an attempt to hand it directly to him. The employee went into a near panic exclaiming "I am not allowed to take mail directly from customers , you have to put it in the slot." My initial reaction was that this was a joke so I smiled , almost laughing and extended my hand out further to hand it to him. The employee looked around several times in all directions , then sheepishly took my mail and quickly put it in his box. No doubt he broke some union/government regulation in the process.
Now you may read this and think this is just a funny story , I disagree , this is a small example of the cancer that unions and governmet regulations have brought to hundreds of companies that are now "to big to fail" in reality all of these companies are too regulated to succeed.

Solution to AIG problems

Um.... Mr. President, it is pretty obvious that everyone knows by now that you had a hand in the AIG guys getting their bonus's. If you really want to show the public change then get together with Dodd, Geithner and everyone else involved in this backdoor deal and come completely clean about it. Now THAT would be change they could believe in.

9-12 Project !!!!!!

Do you remember how we all felt on 9-12-01 ?
Yes we had been kicked in the teeth the day before but we all seemed to know that we would pull through if we all pulled together and took care of our own friends and families !!!

Glenn Beck had a great show Friday and he is the man behind a movement that I hope catches on, WE SURROUND THEM !!!
Check out the website which btw has been brought to its knees several times in the last 24 hours due to so many people visiting the site.

I will give you the first lines from the mission statement;
Mission Statement
This website is a place for you and other like-minded Americans looking for direction in taking back the control of our country. It is also a place to find information that will assist you in navigating the rough waters we face in the days, weeks and months ahead.

Update to Stockpile of Weapons near nuke reactor

Mike Flemming from WREC 600 covered this story today on his show.
I would like to give a bug thumbs up to Mike for giving this some of his time while other reporters dismissed it with comments like "If thetre was anything to worry about the ATF would have given us a press release." So much for investigative journalism. As usual talk radio and the internet are the only place to get to the bottom of things.

Stockpile of Machine Guns and explosives near Nuclear Power Plant

According to the Arkansas Times

Randeep Singh Mann of Russellville was taken into federal custody Wednesday after explosives found buried in a field matched explosives found in his garage.
On Tuesday, the Pope County Sheriff's Office responded to a call by London city employees who'd found buried in a plastic bag in a field a munitions canister containing 98 grenades -- 40mm HE, M406 rounds -- and an M781 practice round. The grenades were designed to be fired from an M79 or M203 grenade launcher. The location was 875 feet from Mann's home, the complaint says.

Below is a map of the house you will notice the smokestacks behind the house , that is a Nuclear Reactor !
800 meters away from the house !!!!

WHY is anyone allowed to live that close to this facility ?!

Just a terrorist attack waiting to happen and NOBODY in the media will even cover this part of the story, I guess investigative journalism is gone.

The Voice of Common Sense, Paul Harvey

For the first time in my lifetime we are starting off a week without the friendly and familiar voice of Paul Harvey.
He had a knack for keeping things simple and keeping them interesting as well.
I remember a Paul Harvey commentary on hidden taxes years ago that started to open my eyes about politics. Who could forget the "The Rest of the Story" ?
It appears that his website is down right now and being re-directed to
If you have never heard of Paul Harvey then you have missed a great man, I know he made my life a little richer each time I heard his voice.
